Decorator Challenge

Since my Mother is a painter....I have a great appreciation and LOVE for decorating with Art.

These large scale black and white abstracts are perfect accents for these daring color palettes.

My hope is that decorators will take the time to seek out local artists works instead of production line art and  put more focus on purchasing quality Art for their clients that is to be treated as an investment.

So there is my 'Decorator Challenge'!  Come on you can find it!

A Kitchen Well Done

A beautiful back splash is just the beginning in this 'kitchen well done'.  Every detail has been thought through.  The floors, cabinets and counter tops keeping the most lovely neutral hues.  And I adore that valance and the glass pane cabinet doors.  A contrast of a dark wood island against the cream cabinets is a really rich feeling feature that plays up the beams above.

Fresh Spring Face

I love Springtime.... its a time for fresh faces, shades of pastel pink, turquoise and blue on white.

This classic fresh face is lovely...and I adore this twist on a messy half down do.

Ribbons, lace and a touch of fur all in the palest shades of pastel pink...LOVE!

Found!... a genius idea for bringing vintage linens into the modern home.

Dying them with the latest trend colors is so chic!  Love..yes?

Adoring this vintage room....a perfect place to escape the day with your favorite book & some cake!

This is a trend that just wont go away thankfully!  I love these pillows made from vintage coffee sacks.

Stamped & Stenciled Burlap looks so amazing & works mixed with just about any style.

and finally....just had to bring in this fabulous ceiling treatment in a butler's pantry.

This is truly wonderful and I would love to do this decorative finish in a powder room.

I cant help it....I love this Bed and Bath!  They're not the same style but both have lots of metallic which I adore.  With a few changes of artwork in the bath and the finish on the vanity it could totally work together.

Its so glamorous and I'm swooning....

With Spring.....

Spring brings lots of fresh ideas for practical outdoor/indoor living.  

I'm searching for a screen door ...one of those old fashion wood ones with an authentic beat up handle!

I just love this entry....the green painted on the exterior is so crisp with all that white and cream.

Also loving those fixtures and that slate floor.  Essential for practical country living!
